In 2005, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, Nintendo's online gaming service, began with the Nintendo DS. Also, major games such as Resident Evil 4, Mario Kart DS, and many others were released in 2005. It is also the date when the Nintendo DS was released in Europe.
