Africa is a continent on Earth in the Mario game, Mario is Missing!.

Africa is the home to the lush rainforests and deserts and its nations include Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya. This continent only appears in the SNES version and the only locations in Africa where Luigi went were Cairo, Egypt and Nariobi, Kenya.

In Nariobi, the Koopa Troopas has stolen the artifacts from a Maasai village, the Nariobi National Park and the National Museum of Kenya. Luigi must find all the three artifacts and return them to the respective places and the game allows Luigi to take pictures of the landmarks. To finish securing the city, Luigi must ride on Yoshi to the exit Warp Pipe and a Pokey blocks it and Yoshi is able to scare it away and they leave the city.

In Cairo, the Koopa Troopas invade this city and they stole the artifacts from the landmarks, like the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx of Giza and the Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Luigi will have to find the artifacts and return them to the landmarks.

Mario Kart Wii

Africa made its latest appearance in Mario Kart Wii.

Africa only appeared in seven Continents for seven Koopas in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. It only appeared in a brief scene where Ludwig Von Koopa was told to go wild and the animals, like a gorilla, giraffe, lion, zebra and African elephant were all turned by Ludwig's wand into stuffed animals. Luigi got Ludwig's wand and turned them back into real animals and they chase away Ludwig.

Egypt, a location in northern Africa only appeared in the Club Nintendo comic, Mario's Picross. It features a character named Ali Mustafa.
