Airship Fortress as it appears in Mario Kart DS.
|Series||Mario Kart series|
|First game||Mario Kart DS|
Mario Kart DS
It is the last course in the Star Cup, and many think it is the most fun course in the game, due to its creativity in design. At the start of the track, you must drive onto a platform with Bullet Bills shooting towards the racer. Getting past them will put the racer in a field of Rocky Wrenches, whom pop in and out of the ground. Hitting one results in a spin-out. Once you enter the Airship, the player will have to dodge flames and boxes blocking the way to a giant cannon that shoots the racer to a spiral tower on the other side. Getting down the spiral tower leads to the start of the next lap, or the end of the race.
This course is much harder than it seems, and many beginners do not like it for it's complexity and difficulty. Even getting down the spiral tower is considered difficult by some especially when the character that they are racing with doesn't have good handling. This is the only track in the game in which Bullet Bills are an obstacle. Rocky Wrenches rarely serve as obstacles either, but this is one of those tracks.
Mario Kart 7
In Mario Kart 7, it is the same as in Mario Kart DS but Banzai Bill replaced Bullet Bill and they going faster and they are spinning around. The boxes now reveal any types of items rather than having just 2 items. The orange lava also replaced blue water and the fire burners are faster than original one.
