Akio Ikeda is a Nintendo employee who primarily works on the hardware aspects of Nintendo's systems and games. His first project at Nintendo was supposedly the Pocket Pikachu, with which he assisted on the pedometer. For the Game Boy Color he helped produce the accelerometer for Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble. Following this he remained involved in various interface projects, and is perhaps best known for his work on the Wii Remote.
