The Arctic Cannon Larva is a member of the Lithopod Family in Pikmin 3. They are bright green with a lavender underbelly and purple eyes. They are a variant of the Armored Cannon Beetle Larva who evolved to live in cold climate and as such, they are only found in the Distant Tundra.

Unlike their cousins, the Arctic Cannon Larva are inoffensive, they spit snowballs at Pikmin but those snowballs are unable to kill them and will only pick them up until the snowballs crash into something else.

The Arctic Cannon Larva is a large, burrowing creature that attacks by launching large Snowballs at its enemies. These Snowballs won't damage your Pikmin directly, but they are capable of incapacitating your Pikmin or carrying them into hazards. When you encounter an Arctic Cannon Larva, dodge its attacks and flank the creature. Throw a steady stream of Rock Pikmin into the creature's back, or send your entire squad charging in to attack.
