Astrid is one of the many playable characters in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the GameCube. She's also known as the only Bow Knight in the video game.

Astrid was born into an exacting family who demanded a lot from her. When young, all of her siblings were married, though were not allowed to decide who they would marry. Soon enough, her family arranged that she get married to someone thirty years older than her. Angry, she left home and joined Ike's army.
