Atlus is a video game company known for making quirky and arguably original RPG's and strategy games for various different Nintendo handhelds and consoles (though mainly the former). Notable video games published by Atlus include, though are clearly not limited to Snowboard Kids, various Trauma Center games, and a host of GBA RPG's.
They're stationed in Japan, though a sub-company known as Atlus USA is found in America, where they do most of the English localization for both Japanese Atlus titles and others that weren't directly created by the company, but were rather published by them.
Currently, Atlus is creating games for the Wii and Nintendo DS, among other systems that are competing with Nintendo, as well an online RPG named Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent.
