Balloon Kid is a video game for the Game Boy console that was developed by Nintendo. It is a sequel to Balloon Fight, a popular video game on the NES. In Balloon Kid, you adventure through a new world in search for your little brother. A remake of the game was created for the Game Boy Color titled Balloon Fight GB that was released exclusively in Japan.

[edit] Gameplay

You control Alice, a girl who is searching for her brother via two balloons. It plays much like the original, though rather than being in one small tight place, you are able to adventure and go through new areas. If both of your balloons pop, then you'll either loose a life or land on safe ground depending on where you land. If you do land on safe ground, then you will have to re-inflate new balloons. If just one of the balloons pop, then it will be more challenging to control Alice.

If you wish, you can also remove her balloons and travel on ground, where you are able to jump as well. Often times you'll have to remove your balloons to reach ceratin bonuses.
