I don't know for sure, but it looks like there will be a new Wii on its way, probably to come out the same time the next XBox and PlayStation. What's notable about this Wii is that it will have Blu-Ray support, and will have 1080P and lower resolutions will be supported, for blu-ray movies and games.
Part of me is glad to see improved graphics and stuff, but... Well, I d(…)

We knew Nintendo Week would reveal something special, and that was just the case when they announced Excitebike: World Rally for WiiWare, a remake of the original game with updated graphics, gameplay, and the addition of Wi-Fi multiplayer. The game is set to release November 9th in America.

I've been thinking a lot about the upcoming Wii game, Epic Mickey. My head is swarming with ideas, and I just want to get some of them out. Hopefully, some of you will actually read them and respond to them. Okay, thanks.
My first theory involves The Mad Doctor, who, according to this article:

As expected, Nintendo announced that they would lower the price of the Wii in the United States from $250 to $199. Europe will also get a price drop as well as a bundle that includes a Wii and both Wii Sports titles as well as a Wii MotionPlus for the original price of the Wii. Nintendo also announced that the price of the Wii would drop in Japan. New Super Mario Bros. also got release dates FINAL(…)

The Tokyo Game Show has started! All of the Nintendo related news will be posted here.
- Capcom announces a new Wii title akin to their Devil May Cry series called Sengoku BASARA Samurai Heroes that is also being developed by a few people who worked on the extremely hard-to-beat games.
- Frank West of Dead Rising fame is confirmed to appear in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
- Capcom announces Ghost Trick for the handhel(…)

We've all heard the rumors that Nintendo would release a white and pink Nintendo DSi by September 13th, which conveniently coincides with the release of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Scribblenauts, but now we can confirm that this is true (for Americans at least). Meanwhile in Australia, they'll be getting a black and pink DSi. In other color news, this winter we'll be getting a black W(…)

Just a short blog post. Nintendo and The Pokémmon Company have announced that Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver will both be released next year in 2010 in the spring for both North America and Europe.

Nintendo and LucasArts have announced that there's going to be a whole bunch of Star Wars content to look forward to on the Wii console. This week on the Virtual Console we're getting the classic Super Star Wars, while in the coming weeks afterwords Nintendo will put out its two sequels Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Meanwhile Nintendo will host Star (…)

Nintendo has just revealed the lifetime sales for the Wii and Nintendo DS. As a bonus Nintendo also revealed how many of the lifetime DS sales were for the recently released DSi. First, let's take a look at the Wii. According to Nintendo, they've sold a staggering 52.62 million units worldwide. Unfortunately, sales were down for the Wii compared to the same time last year, though this is to be (…)

One of my favorite websites, Creative Uncut, recently linked to an article that had some of the most unique illustrations of the Mario Brothers in one concentrated area. The collected artworks from the internet are pretty diverse; some are whimsical, some are realistic, a lot of them are strange and all of them are awesome. Most of them are from deviantART, so I guess there is more where that ca(…)

Nintendo has announced the Gold and Platinum Club Nintendo gifts for the United States and Canada. Gold members will receive a 2010 Nintendo calendar, while Platinum members will have a choice between a WiiWare game titled Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! and a Mario hat. Platinum members can also choose the calendar if they wish. Gifts will apparently be sent out in November of this year.

Nintendo has a knack for re-releasing games via DSiWare, don't they? Well, I have no problem with this one, because I'm a huge fan of Game & Watch games (but it kind of defeats the purpose of getting the Game & Watch Collection, doesn't it?). As one might expect, each one costs a cheap 200 Nintendo Points, but if you're looking to collect all of the games that Nintendo plans to make available, t(…)

Nintendo has announced that they'll be splitting up the Nintendo DS game Electroplankton into six different games, each containing one of the modes from the original. The games have only been announced for Japan so far, and no English release has been confirmed. So far the announced games include:
- Electroplankton Trapy (out next week)
- Electroplankton Hanenbon (Hanebow) (out next week)
- Electroplankto(…)

In the newest issue of Nintendo Power, Miyamoto, when asked about the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game for the Wii, tells the editors that the new game will not be that radically different from previous incarnations of Zelda. He also went on to explain that in Super Mario Galaxy 2, we shouldn't expect new powerups, but instead expect there to be a lot of special features for Yoshi (as we've alread(…)

Square Enix recently started a countdown on their Japanese website but literally no information was known on the game. Today, all of that changes. In the newest issue of Shonen Jump, Square Enix announced The Four Warriors of Light: A Final Fantasy Anecdote (note: this is just a translated name), a new traditional turn based role-playing game. Not much is known about the game at the moment, thou(…)

I used to have a blog, and it only had seven posts in it. Basically the whole blog was about what was happening at other blogs. The last blog post was about MTV's Multiplayer Blog and how it was trying to determine the best reptile/amphibian in video games.
