This article is about the Super Mario RPG mini-boss. For other uses, see Boomer (disambiguation).

Boomer is a character featured in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. He is a boss and will be fought in Bowser's Keep near the end of the game (in exactly the same location where Mario fought Bowser in the beginning). He would be found on the chandelier that Bowser occupied in the beginning, while Mario will battle him on the one opposite of it. Two Shy Guys hang above holding on to the chandeliers' chains.

After Mario and his team inevitably come out triumphant in the battle, Boomer will, in tradition of his role, which best represents a Shogun, will slash the chain holding his chandelier up and fall back down to the ground. It's unknown if he was killed or not in this process, as Mario and crew decide to continue on with the help of the aforementioned Shy Guys.

Interestingly, the Japanese flag is printed on his helmet, probably referencing the fact that he greatly resembles a Japanese Shogun.

Trivia[]

  • Boomer can best be described as a shogun, which is an ancient Japanese commander. He even has an inscription of the Japanese flag on his helmet in his character artwork.
