Boss Blitz Galaxy is a galaxy featured in World S of Super Mario Galaxy 2. The galaxy is made up of boss characters from the original Super Mario Galaxy. The bosses are Dino Piranha, King Kaliente, Major Burrows, Bouldergeist and Fiery Dino Piranha.

Mario will need to have a total of one hundred Power Stars before reaching this level.

MissionsEdit

Throwback ThrowdownEdit

This mission is a series of boss fights from the previous Galaxy game. The strategies for fighting them are exactly the same as it was the first time Mario fought them. It begins with Mario flying through space and landing on Dino Piranha's egg. After star spinning Dino Piranha's tail four times, a Launch Star that takes Mario to King Kaliente. After bringing down King Kaliente, a Launch Star takes Mario to his next boss, Major Burrows. Once Major Burrows is knocked out, it's on to Bouldergeist's planet, which includes a checkpoint. When Bouldergeist is defeated, a Launch Star sends Mario to a small planetoid that has its own Launch Star. This one sends Mario to Fiery Dino Piranha, the final boss fight of the galaxy. A Power Star appears when Mario completes this galaxy .

The Comet Medal, along with a Life Mushroom, is found beneath the planet that contains King Kaliente.

Throwback Throwdown Speed RunEdit

It's the same exact mission from before, except that it has to be completed in under five minutes.

Green Star ChallengesEdit

There are two Green Star challenges in Boss Blitz Galaxy. Both of them are based on the Throwback Throwdown mission:

• Green Star 1: This challenge is pretty simple as Mario only needs to reach Major Burrow's planet. The Green Star is spinning next to the giant tree.
• Green Star 2: The second Green Star is near Bouldergeist's planet. It's actually right next to the planet, spinning in mid-air slightly below ground level.
