Descriptions[]

Alph's notes[]

"Structural flaw: Eyes, then underbelly / Weight: 10 / It's similar to designs on our planet featuring exoskeletons, but much, much, bigger. Its eyeballs are equally enlarged, making them perfect targets. Their homes aren't a single hole but rather a network of interconnected tunnels. If you see one retreat below ground, be warned that it could reemerge somewhere else entirely."

Brittany's notes[]

"All I can think about since we defeated one of those is how nice it would be to sleep on that soft belly. I could even use its she'll to make a canopy bed! (Just for me, though. It's obviously not big enough for all of us.)"

Charlie's notes[]

"I tried to take it in one-on-one combat, to spare the lives of my Pikmin squad, but its shell was too hard even for my steely fists. If only I was tall enough to reach its eyes! Then we'd see who's really tough."

Louie's notes[]

"When grilled, serves as an excellent filling for an offbeat po'boy. If you have any left over, add it to a liver paste to deepen the flavor."

Olimar's notes[]

"Like its close cousin the hermit crawmad, it makes its home in a burrow rather than a shell. It has abnormally overdeveloped eyes with which to detect prey in cloudy water or low-visibility mud. These enormous eyes can perceive polarized light, as well as the ultraviolet and infrared spectrum. It is well protected from predators, allowing it to live upwards of 50 years and grow to immense size by repeated ecdysis."
