Castlevania known in Japan as Akumajō Dracula (悪魔城ドラキュラ, Akumajō Dorakyura, lit. "Demon Castle Dracula"), is a classic NES video game created by Konami.

Gameplay

The game includes a total of six different levels in which Simon Belmont, the protagonist of this game, must traverse through the area until he comes face to face with the count himself, whom he must defeat. Other than the traditional whip that you use, you're also able to pick up other weapons and items that can be used against your opponents. Some of the sub-weapons include the dagger, holy water, an axe, a boomerang and others. At the end of each level you'll have to battle a challenging boss.

Boss Battles

As aforementioned, you'll have to fight against a boss after each level, which means that there are a total of six bosses in all. Each new boss you encounter will be harder than the previous boss you fought, as in most games.

The first boss you'll fight is the Vampire Bat, who will swoop down at Simon, and if he get's hit, will take damage. The second boss battle is against Queen Medusa , who will occasionally drop down snakes toward you, and will also try to ram into you. The third boss battle is against two mummies, who will toss projectiles at our hero. Oftentimes you'll be able to make the mummies go in a certain direction by looking in the direction you want them to go. The fourth boss battle is against Frankenstein's Monster, who will hop around shooting fire balls at you. The fith boss fight is against Death, who will fly around and sometimes follow you. The final boss fight is against Count Dracula, who has two different forms. The first form will randomly shoot out three fireballs and then will teleport anywhere in the room, while the second form will both jump toward you and shoot fireballs.
