|First game||Pikmin 2|
Creeping Chrysanthemum is an enemy in Pikmin 2 for Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control for Wii. This monster would hide in the floor, so it looks like flowers. It would come out if Olimar, Louie, President or the Pikmin walked on top of its flowers, it would pop up from the floor. This is a fairly easy monster to kill, even easer if you have Purple Pikmin. There is a few in Awakening Wood, and three in Wistful Wild. It is found underground in many places too. It was not in Pikmin, it was also a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. It is apart of the Chrysanthemum Family.
Go to the awakening wood stage and go across the bridge to the left . Take a left to the area with the Yellow Wollywogs, Burrowing Snagret and honeywisp. Then walk on top of it to wake it up. Then run off the ledge with it close behind you. When it falls to the floor, it will be frozen. Now it is harmless, it stays like this until End of Day. This glitch does take a few attempts, so don't get fustrated if you don't do it the first time.
"Like Pikmin, the creeping chrysanthemum is a member of a group of creatures with ambulatory root structures. This creature is known as a "mimic," but because it is actually a form of plant, this label is not entirely accurate. For unknown reasons, the creeping chrysanthemum's mimicry does not fool Pikmin, perhaps because they share a similar heritage. It relies on preying upon other creatures to provide sustenance, so it has no need of leaves for photosynthesis. Generally speaking, the role of plants within an ecosystem is as a producer species, and thus plants are generally found at the bottom of the food pyramid. However, on this strange planet the line between producer plants and consumer plants is blurred."
"When thinly sliced, this predator's sizeable bulb makes a sumptuous pizza topping."
You can get this trpophy by getting everyone's classic trophies.
"An enemy flower and a member of the chrysanthemum family that closely resembles the Margaret flower. This flower feeds on prey and, despite being a plant, performs no photosynthesis and exposes no leaves--just flowers on top. It usually stays underground with only its flowers exposed, waiting to jump out and attack. It also uses rootlike legs to walk around."
