Dream Land from the Super Smash Bros. series.

Dream Land is a recurring location, and the primary setting of the Kirby series. It is a small country on the planet Pop Star, and the homeland of series protagonist Kirby, among other major characters. Dream Land's landscape consists primarily of rolling green grasslands dotted with forests, but also contains rugged mountains, vast oceans and arid deserts. For the most part, Dream Land is a peaceful place, its residents concerned only with eating and sleeping. However, the country's abundant resources and apparent lack of defenses has made it a popular target for a variety of evil doers and threats.

Little is known of the actual government of Dream Land. King Dedede, a selfish blue penguin and Kirby's rival, claims to be the king of Dream Land, however, outside of his own loyal followers, the majority of Dream Landers of pay no heed to him.

Most of the video games within the series take place here at some point, the first of which is Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy.

Geography[]

Dream Land is a country on the planet Pop Star. Because the games have never shown a map of the entire country, it is unknown how big Dream Land is or what countries, if any, border it. Many of the locations have aliterative names or are named after food items. Much of the country seems to consist of verdant grassland, dotted with forests and tropical seas with many islands but the overall climate is quite varied with sandy deserts, like Raisin Ruins and Sand Canyon mountains, like Yogurt Yard, Candy Mountain and Cloudy Park and snowy glaciers like White Wafers, Iceberg and Ice Island.

Super Smash Bros. series[]

Dream Land appears as a stage in Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64. It's design is reminiscent of many first stage levels levels from the Kirby games. Whispy Woods stands in the background and will occasionally try to blow away the fighters. The stage returns in Melee, under the "Past Stages" title. Dream Land appears as a DLC stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
