The Eggplant Wizard is a recurring enemy from the video game Kid Icarus. He has earned a lot of fame for his dangerous yet humorous ability to turn his enemies into eggplants, an ability which has resulted in a lot of love-hate towards the character.
In the game, Kid Icarus, the Eggplant Wizard could turn Pit's upper body into an eggplant by tossing eggplant projectiles at him. His only movement is walking back and forth in the game, but his high HP makes him a very difficult enemy to kill. Moreover, Eggplant Wizards often appear in pairs, making it even more difficult to keep track of all projectiles and dodge them.
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
The Eggplant Wizard returns in the Game Boy sequel, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, where he once again appears only in fortresses. This time, though, there's actually a small advangate to being turned into an eggplant: Pit will shrink in size and be able to fit through passageways he wouldn't normally be able to fit through.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
The Eggplant Wizard appears once again in the long-overdue third installment of the Kid Icarus series, where he once again turns Pit into an eggplant. This time, he's joined by the even more dangerous, Tempura Wizard.
The Eggplant Wizard is also a recurring villain in this cartoon series. He is usually paired with King Hippo, and they seem to get into fights a lot. Occasionally, he would come up with his own schemes, and isn't above turning against Mother Brain on these rare occasions.
