Surprisingly Valter, an ambitious Grado recruit, appears and attacks Seth. However Seth does not die and takes off, with Eirika, more enemies appear and it is here that Eirika proves her strength and both Seth and Eirika work their way out.
Once they get to Frelia Eirika is told of her father's death, so Eirika decides to venture off and help her brother, as well as try to figure out what exactly is going on with Grado as one of her best friends is in fact the son of Grado's king. Frelia's king supports Eirika with some troops as well as money and hopes the best for her. So then Eirika sets off to end all this chaos, and in her way she meets many people who decide to help as well as secrets that make her realize more and more of what Grado is really up to.
