Nintendo E3 1999

Pokémon was the star of the show with four new games.

Electronic Entertainment Expo 1999 was the fifth Electronic Entertainment Expo. It took place in Los Angeles, California in 1999.

Nintendo and Rare

Nintendo 64

Compared to previous showings, Nintendo's appearance at E3 did not create as much buzz. The two games that Nintendo showcased the most were Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Snap. Other titles present included Donkey Kong 64, Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, Command & Conquer 3D, Eternal Darkness (at the time planned for the Nintendo 64), F-1 World Grand Prix II, Ken Griffey, Jr.'s Slugfest, Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside, Mario Golf, New Tetris, Ogre Battle 3, Ridge Racer 64, Riqa, and StarCraft 64.

Game Boy Color

On the Game Boy Color, Nintendo showed off Pokémon Yellow, a remake of the original games that had Pikachu walking behind the player. Other major games from Nintendo and Rare include Conker's Pocket Tales, Pokémon Pinball, Ken Griffey, Jr.'s Slugfest, F-1 World Grand Prix, Bionic Commando: Elite Forces, Crystalis, and R-Type DX.
