Excite Truck is an off-road racing game released to the Wii in 2008. Steering is done using by tilting the remote left or right, and using specific motions for tricks. The Wii Wheel, being only a shell, can assist in gameplay. The game involves various off-road vehicles ranging from SUVs and pickups to ATVs and dune buggies. Points are scored through performing stunts and winning the game.
The game is similar to Super Off Road: the Baja for the SNES.
Legacy
The game was referenced throughout the Wii video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Boulder, one of the vehicles in Excite Truck, appear in the game in the form of a trophy. That vehicle along with Firefly, Rad, and Wolf all appear in the game as stickers. Finally, a song from Excite Truck appears in the game on the Mario Circuit stage.
