Fast & Furious: Showdown is a racing game released for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in 2013. It is based on the movie franchise, Fast & Furious.

Gameplay[]

The game is focused on cooperative driving and combat orientated around missions. The game is played with an AI or in local cooperative play with the second player either controlling a car or the turret or jumping to another car to hijack it. The missions consist of completing a race, surviving a certain number of laps or getting the other player to hijack the other car.

All the cars have health bars and deteriorate from crashing and turret fire.

Plot[]

The game serves as a bridge between the movies Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. The story begins with a cutscene with Monica Fuentes finding Riley Hicks snooping through her office. She says she is going to meet Luke Hobbs in a day and needs to learn what he's been doing. Monica then tells her what he's been dealing with various scenes from the movie playing out.

The game was critically panned across the board with aggregates giving the game scores in the 20s out of 100.
