In Fire Emblem they are a strong, axe-wielding unit. They have poor defense, low hit rate and slow attacks. They promote into Warriors.
In Final Fantasy they can wield the most weapon types but have no magic. They are your basic tank (absorb damage) damage dealing class. They upgrade into Knight after completing a quest for Bahamut, and are able to use low to mid level White Magic.
