Edit
Figure-8 Circuit first appears in Mario Kart DS as the very first course in the game and in the Mushroom Cup.
It is the most simple track in the game, and has a NASCAR-like design to it. The road is just plain grey pavement. The course also lacks obstacles. There are only two wide turns. There is a wall on the side, preventing far falls. It also is shaped like the number eight.
There are not many details to this track, unlike most other tracks, but the racer does pass a pit stop with a little building, and there is a crowd of Toads, Shy Guys, etc. in the stadium. Other than that, there is not much else to the track. This track appears as the main theme course for the game. When showing the first, second, and third place winners for a cup, they are seen driving down this track to the trophy.

Edit
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there is a Mario Kart-themed course entitled "Mario Circuit". However, the course itself is a Figure-8, and so it resembles the Figure-8 Circuit more than any Mario Circuit.
