Bomb Flowers are a item in the Legend of Zelda series, first appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They are plants that bear explosive fruit and typically grow in volcanic places.

Bomb Flowers grow back within a few seconds of being picked allowing Link essentially an infinite supply of bombs as long as he's nearby. However, as soon as they are picked they will ignite and explode soon after.

Before Link comes into possession of a Bomb Bag he will typically need to rely on Bomb Flowers to solve explosive related puzzles.

Following their initial appearance the Bomb Flower later appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages (its first 2D appearance) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

After picking one up, they'll detonate within a few seconds, requiring the player to make use of it very quickly. Depending on which game it is the bomb will also explode if one strikes it with a weapon or engulfs it in flames.

Gorons[]

The Gorons are viewed as the primary cultivator of Bomb Flowers, apparently specializing in them. They're known as their special crop. They're apparently very tough to root from the ground, though the chief of the Gorons and sage Darunia gives Link the Goron Bracelets, which will give its wearer more strength, thus allowing him to pick it up. While an adult, Link does not need to equip the Goron Bracelets in order to pick them up, as he is much stronger.
