Chaos Emeralds are the seven emeralds that are scattered all across the world in most Sonic the Hedgehog games. They are found in different colors (yellow, green, light blue, white, purple, blue, and red) although they are all emeralds. Chaos Emeralds are great sources of powers, two together can control time with a reaction known as chaos control. However, if all seven emeralds join, they scatter all over the world again. The Master Emerald keeps the chaos emeralds' power from going out of control.
