Crocodile Cauldron a volcanic area with lava everywhere in the Donkey Kong series.

Appearance[]

As this area is lava infested, it has many volcanic themed levels with smoking hot lava everywhere. There is also a ship split in half, like Krem Quay, but smaller. It is said that many ships have collided here but only one can be seen. It is possible that this area could have once been a harbor, due to the ships around and with water

Games[]

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[]

Crocodile Cauldron first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. It has two levels lava themed, Hot-Head Hop and Red-Hot Ride. It also has a lone lava pool level, Lava Lagoon which has Clapper cool down the water so Diddy and Dixie can swim in the water. It takes place in the broken ship. There are also two areas taking place in mine shafts, Kannon's Klaim and Sqauwks's Shaft.

At the end of the game, Crocodile Cauldron, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle, sinks underwater.

Donkey Kong Land 2[]

While Crocodile Cauldron did not reappear in Donkey Kong Land 2, it had come out of the water and is found being merged with Krem Quay, thus making Krem Cauldron. It also is likely because of graphical limitations to the Game Boy that the two worlds were fused.
