The Giant Dead Dodongo is an object from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is located within Dodongo's Cavern, the second dungeon in the game. The Giant Dead Dodongo is the head of a deceased giant Dodongo, as the name suggests, and it is stuck in or on the back wall. A door is found inside the mouth of the head, but to get it open Link needs to complete a big portion of the dungeon. The mouth is opened by dropping bombs into its two black eyes, therefore turning them red, opening the door. Link can not drop the bombs into its eyes until he has reached the long bridge overhead, and dropping the bombs through the gaps.
It is not known for sure if the Giant Dead Dodongo is a true giant Dodongo, or a fake replica of one's head.
