The Fairy Bow is a weapon that appears in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is the Ocarina of Time's version of Link's iconic bow and arrow, wielded by the Hero of Time. Acting as upgraded version of the Fairy Slingshot, from Link's childhood, the Fairy Bow replaces it as Link's primary ranged weapon during the adult half of the game. Because it takes great strength to wield, it cannot be used by Child Link. Link finds the Fairy Bow in the Forest Temple after defeating the Stalfos mini-boss. Like the slingshot, the bow allows Link to attack enemies at a distance and hit far away switches. The bow, however, is significantly more powerful, able defeat enemies that could previously shrug off the slingshot.

Once Link learns magic, he is able to obtain Fire, Ice, and Light arrows that let him imbue any of his arrows with magic of that type.

Other Apperances[]

The fairy bow appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee as part of Link's B button special.
