Goomba Wrangler is a 4-Player and Duel mini-game appearing in Mario Party DS.
The minigame is set inside a small garden festooned with Goombas and Bob-omb.
Gameplay[]
Players must be the first to collect as many Goombas as they can by drawing a complete circle around them. Brown Goombas are worth one point, and Golden Goombas, which appear when five seconds are left, are worth three points. The players must be careful not to circle Bob-ombs, as they will lose half of the Goombas they collected.
The players who collect the most Goombas when time is up wins, as indicated by the flowers blooming in their color.
Trivia[]
- The method of collecting Goombas and Bob-ombs is based on the Pokémon Ranger series, in which a similar method is used to capture Pokémon using the Capture Styler. Additionally, this minigame's French name, "Goomba Ranger", appears to directly reference the series.
