Goompapa's sprite in Paper Mario.
Goompapa the husband of Goomama in Paper Mario. He is also the father of Goombaria and Goombario.
It is learned in the game that he is friends with Muss T., Fishmael, and Koover, and fishes with them. He can be seen fixing a gate at the beginning of the game, but Kammy Koopa soon appears and breaks it with a block. To break the block, Mario must use a Hammer. Later on in the game, if Mario visits Goomba Village, he can see that Goompapa fixed the gate.

- "Goompapa" is a portmanteau of "Goomba" referring to his species, and "papa", another name for father.
- During Chuck Quizmo's quizzes, Goompapa can be seen in the audience.
- If the player delivers Muss T.'s letter, Muss T. will reveal that he and Goompapa are friends and think alike.
