Mega Man 4

Mega Man 4 title screen.

Mega Man 4(JP) is the fourth Nintendo Entertainment System entry in the Mega Man series, initially being released in 1991. The game is, as always, a traditional platforming title that requires Mega Man to venture through eight stages, defeat each of the Robot Masters in each stage, and then finally take on Dr. Wily's fortress. New enhancements were added to the game, including the ability to charge your shots, a grappling hook, a new robot friend (Flip-Top), and various others.

The game has also been released on the Wii Virtual Console in Japan on February 9, 2010, the PAL region on April 16, 2010 and in North America on April 19, 2010, the 3DS Virtual Console in 2012, and the Wii U Virtual Console in 2013.

Plot[]

Sometime following the events of Mega Man 3, with everyone believing Dr. Wily to have perished, a Russian scientist named Dr. Cossack announces his own attempt at world domination and challenges Mega Man to stop him and his robots. But unbeknownst to Mega Man, Cossack is only doing this because his daughter Kalinka has been taken hostage by Wily.

Gameplay[]

The game features the role of Mega Man again. The 8 Robot Masters are Toad Man, Bright Man, Pharaoh Man, Ring Man, Dust Man, Dive Man, Skull Man, and Drill Man. Players can't fight Wily until all 8 Robot Masters are defeated.
