Monster is one of the three useable cars in the Famicom Disk System game Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally. While the game wasn't released outside of Japan, the car has received quite a few cameos in other games.

Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally[]

Monster was supposedly the main car in the game as it was featured of the box art, where Mario and Luigi were seen driving it. It is the slowest of the three cars, but it has the best off-road stat which makes it a good choice for beginners. In the game the car had to be driven along a road to the other end below a certain time. There was a number of checkpoints along the road which has to be passed in a set time, or else a timer would start to decrease. If the timer reached zero before the checkpoint was passed, the game would end. The timer didn't reset between checkpoints, just stop, and thus it was important to improve the performance as not to let the timer fall even more. The car has a set amount of health which would decrease if it crashed with the other cars on the road or the objects on its sides. At anytime the drivers could leave the car to repair it, but that meant a loss of valuable time.

Trophy Information[]

This rally car tore up dirt and raced through uncharted lands in the Disk System game 3D Hot Rally. While it wasn't as fast as the other two car types, it had super-strong shocks to deal with horrible roads and other obstacles. Mario and Luigi are in command of this car, although they don't show themselves in the game very often.
