Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island (also known as SpongeBob and Friends: Battle for Volcano Island in Europe) is the second installment of the Nickelodeon crossover series starting with Nicktoons Unite! This game was released for Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube, and Game Boy Advance on October 24, 2006.

Plot

Various Nickelodeon characters including Danny Phantom, Sam Manson, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Timmy Turner come together and travel through their respective worlds in order to restore order after Jimmy Neutron tells the team of characters that Volcano Island is under attack from a villain known as The Mawgu.

Reception

Metacritic gave the DS version a 59 out of 100 and IGN gave it 7 out of 10 .

Trivia

• This was the last Nicktoons crossover game released on the GameCube.
