Diggersby (JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a dual-type Normal-type/Ground-type Pokémon that made its first appearance in the sixth generation games X and Y. It evolves from Bunnelby at level 20.
Physiology and Behaviour[]
Diggersby is a bipedal Pokémon that resembles a large, portly gray rabbit. Its most notable feature is its two ears, which resemble muscular forearms, complete with three-fingered paws. The ears are mostly gray with pink interiors, whereas the paws at the tips are brown. There are three brown spots above each ear-paw. A pointed protrusion in the middle resembles an elbow. These ears are strong enough to lift objects weighing over a ton and prove to be an invaluable asset in Diggersby's digging.
Diggersby's remaining limbs are small in comparison to the ears. The fur of the upper paws is white, while the feet are brown; each paw has three digits. A sash or belt-like band composed of thicker, woolly fur surrounds its waist; it tends to tuck its paws into this fur. This sash is divided into sections: brown on its sides and yellow on the front and back. Its short tail is also yellow and protrudes from the back section of the sash. Diggersby's face has a large brown muzzle with prominent cheeks. The coloration around its muzzle extends down onto its neck and resembles beard stubble. It has two large upper incisors, three whiskers on each cheek, a tiny, pink nose, and eyes that appear to perpetually squint.
Diggersby's digging skills make it a huge help at construction sites, especially with tunnel work. When it is finished digging, it lounges lazily.

Origin and inspiration[]
Diggersby's appearance is based on rabbit but the shape of its ears combined with liking to hang around construction sites means it is likely also based on construction machinery like an excavator. The brown fur resembles dirt and mud from use. Its tendency to laze around after working, its build and its fur around its face looking like a light beard makes him also resemble construction workers. The name is likely a combination of digger and bunny.
