Prism Tower is a stage in the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. It is based on Lumiose City from Pokemon X and Y.

Stage Features[]

The main gimmick of the stage is that a few seconds into the fight, a moving platform will appear, which the fighters must be on when it flies into the air, or they will be left behind on the ground and get KOd. When the platforms get to near the top, the sun will start to set, and when they reach the top, it will turn nightime. After a while at the top, the platform will fly away from the tower, and it will be day again. Each part of the stage always comes in the same order and lasts for the same amount of time.

This stage also has Pokémon that appear in the background. Helioptile can be seen at ground level, and Magnemite, Zapdos, Emolga, and Yveltal can be seen flying in the background when the platform flies through the air.

Music[]

  • Lumiose City (Alternate)

Origin[]

In Pokémon X and Y, Lumiose City is the central city of the Kalos region, as well as the current largest known city in the Pokémon world. The Prism Tower, which is located in Centrico Plaza, houses the Lumiose Gym, where the player battles the electric type Gym Leader, Clemont, for the Voltage Badge, the fifth badge in the Kalos Pokémon League, after correctly answering a series of Pokémon-related questions. The Prism Tower's design is based on the real life Eiffel Tower that is located in Paris, France, the state that Lumiose City itself is based on.
