Rail Riders is a 4-Player and Duel mini-game in Mario Party DS. It is also the first minigame in the Score Scuffle mode.

It takes place inside a house, in which the characters ride leaves down a large handrail.

Gameplay

Just as the characters jump onto the rail, the player is then tasked with quickly sliding their stylus upward to build up speed. The faster the stylus slides, the more speed the player builds. When the players reach the bottom of the handrail, their amount of speed determines how far their characters will jump. The players who make the farthest jump win.

In the Duel variant, if both players get the same score that breaks the record, the "New Record" jingle will play along with the distance shown before "Tie" appears.
