Ropey Rampage is the second level in Kongo Jungle, the first world in Donkey Kong Country.
Overview[]
This level appears to take place in a thunderstorm which has no effect and therefore does not affect the Kongs in any sort of way. There are also ropes for the Kongs to swing on as a significant item to scavenge throughout the level. This level is supposedly basic and doesn't feature many obstacles except for a few bottomless pits. The enemies in the level includes nine Armies, nine Kritters, and five Zingers in total throughout the level. At the end of the level, the thunderstorm subsides and shows the sun.
Though, in the Game Boy Color version, the rainstorm is not there, but rathermore a simple nighttime sky. In the Game Boy Advance version, there is only a rainstorm at the daytime rather than a thunderstorm in the nighttime itself. Also, the rainstorm even lasts until the end of the level, unlike the original.
