Shadow Man is a Robot Master created by Dr. Wily. He was first seen in Mega Man 3 as one of the games 8 Robot Masters. Contrary to belief, was not created by Dr. Wily, by his origin is unknown as he was actually found deactivated and remolded into the robot known today. His Shadow Blade is coated in a a dangerous liquid.

He appears in the FMV game Super Adventure Rockman as the last boss of Disc One. He first appears during Quickman and Megaman's battle, and nearly kills Mega with a Shadow Blade, however Quickman shields Mega which ultimatly's kills him. This enrages Mega and they fight, if the player loses to Shadowman he will use an arm cannon, to destroy Mega. Megaman manages to defeat ShadowMan with a fully charge shot, destroying him. In episode 2 it is revealed Shadowman was Wood Man's friend, and it's also revealed the damage to Shadowman was irreversible and he can't be rebuilt. This is proven in the ending where the other seventeen robots are revived by Wily and Ra Moon, but ShadowMan is not seen.
