From 1989 to 1991, Kids Klassics released episodes of the series on VHS. The earliest videos contained one animated episode bookended by two live-action episodes. Later tapes started off with a single live-action segment followed by three animated episodes, and later on, four animated episodes with no live-action segment altogether. Unlike later releases, the animated segments are notably presented on these releases as they originally aired, with the song covers intact. However, the live-action segments do not include the Legend of Zelda previews or the scenes that segue into them.
Beating the trivia game unlocks the episode "The Adventures of Sherlock Mario". Midway through the second act of the episode, though, it inexplicably loops back to the start of the second act, then plays as normal, and even shows the second half of the episode's accompanying live-action segment, "Plumbers of the Year".
This is notably the only Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD that features Inspector Gadget appearing on the menus to provide tutorials on how to use the DVD.

"The Ringer" (The Legend of Zelda) / "Slime Busters"

Notes:
This is the only single-disc release of the series in which each episode is accompanied by their respective live-action segment, though the Legend of Zelda previews on episodes 1-4 are cut.
The Family Channel edit of "King Mario of Cramalot"/"Day of the Orphan" is used here (hence why the theme song sounds noticeably slower and why there are two additional commercial fade-outs added between scenes). This is also how the episode is presented on the volumed DVD sets.
In 2006, Shout! Factory released all of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episodes across two four-disc sets. These two volumed sets present each episode with their respective live-action segment, all with the Legend of Zelda previews kept intact and the episode-specific commercial bumpers of the first twelve episodes reinstated. Due to licensing problems, however, the animated portions still lack their song covers, and four episodes on Volume 2 are presented without their respective live-action segments.

After Shout! Factory's license with DiC expired, NCircle Entertainment released all the animated episodes across two 2-disc sets in 2012. Unlike the Shout! Factory sets, NCircle's sets do not contain any of the live-action portions. Additionally, the episode: "On Her Majesty's Sewer Service" is excluded for an unknown reason.
