Soyo Oka is a composer mostly famous for composing the soundtrack of various Nintendo titles, such as Super Mario Kart and Pilotwings.
Biography[]
After majoring in composition at the Osaka College of Music, Oka started working on Nintendo in April 1987, where she worked on Shigeru Miyamoto's EAD department on the music of NES and SNES games under supervision of Koji Kondo.
In September 1995, she left Nintendo and became a freelance composer on various other projects such as anime, video games and standalone albums under the pseudonym "DJ Alice".
