Trivia[]
- Compared to the North American sale, there are some series that do not have games, such as The Legend of Zelda and Metroid.
- Shulk was the only revealed character to be excluded from the North American 2014 sale, as a result of his game not being released on either console at the time.
- Pokémon is the only franchise to receive games in the sales for 3DS / Wii U's release, but not Ultimate's reveal.
- While Sheik appears in printed advertisements for the North American sale, she does not appear in the promo video due to not actually appearing in any of the games in the sale.
- Interestingly, Mega Man is listed as appearing in the Mega Man X games, though the classic Mega Man does not appear in either.
- Zero Suit Samus is depicted as appearing in the original Metroid, as opposed to most sources that do not count any appearance of a Power Suitless Samus except the Zero Suit.
- While the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem is part of the European sale, neither Marth nor any other revealed Fire Emblem characters actually appear in game.
