Viridian Forest is a dungeon in the Pokémon series. It is a dense forest located between Viridian City and Pewter City that forms a maze the player will need to navigate. Many Bug type Pokémon inhabit the forest as well as Bug Catchers looking to add to their collection. Viridian Forest holds the distinction as the first dungeon in the Pokémon series.

Viridian Forest has appeared in the first, second, third, fourth and seventh generation games.

Location

Viridian Forest is located in the Kanto region, north of Route 2 and between Viridian City and Pewter City. It is a maze full of Bug and Flying type Pokémon, attracting many Bug Catchers. There are also wild Pikachu in Viridian Forest but they are rare and hard to find.
