Battle Items are items from the Pokémon series whose effects only last as long as they are out in battle. Originally, they only boosted by one stage but as of Sun and Moon, all the X items boost 2 stages respectively.

X Attack[]
X Attack was introduced in the first generation. When used, it raises the Attack of the battling Pokémon by 2 stages. At select stores, X Attack can be bought for 
500.
X Defense[]
X Defense was introduced in the first generation as X Defend. When used, it raises the Defense of the battling Pokémon by 2 stages. At select stores, X Defense can be bought for 550.
X Speed[]
X Speed was introduced in the first generation. When used, it raises the Speed of the battling Pokémon by 2 stages. At select stores, X Speed can be bought for 350.
X Sp. Atk[]
Formerly known as X Special, it raised the Special stat in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow. With the introduction of the Special Defense stat, this item only raised the Special Attack of a Pokémon. In Generation IV, it was renamed X Sp. Atk. At select stores, X Sp. Atk can be bought for 350.
X Sp. Def[]
X Sp. Def was introduced in the fourth generation. When used, it raises the Special Defense of the battling Pokémon by 2 stages. At select stores, X Sp. Def can be bought for 350.
X Accuracy[]
X Accuracy was introduced in the first generation. When used, it raises the Accuracy of the battling Pokémon by 2 stages. At select stores, X Accuracy can be bought for 950.
Dire Hit[]
Dire Hit was introduction in the first generation. When used, it raises the critical hit ratio by 1 level. It does not stack with more Dire Hits or Focus Energy. At select stores, Dire Hit can be bought for 650.
Guard Spec.[]
Guard Spec. was introduction in the first generation. When used, it protects the user's party from stat reduction by opponents.
