Final Destination is a particular stage depicted throughout the Super Smash Bros. series. It is the simplest stage, being one large flat platform floating in the middle of space.
A stage similar to Final Destination was seen in the original Super Smash Bros., during the final battle with the Master Hand in the 1-player mode, but it was never given an official name.
It wasn't until Super Smash Bros. Melee that the stage was given the name "Final Destination". While players did fight against the Master Hand (and sometimes the Crazy Hand) on it, it was now featured as a selectable stage. Many hardcore gamers choose to play on this stage, as it is the simplest stage and best for showing how skilled a gamer is with a particular character. However, at the same time it is the most demanding to obtain as well.
Final Destination appears again in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though this time, it is much smaller compared to the one in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Over time, the background will change, starting with a galaxy, moving into a wormhole, a starry sky, glint of light, swirling clouds and finally an ocean before starting over.
Past Stages: Dream Land · Yoshi's Island · Kongo Jungle
