FireBreath

Bowser using Fire Breath in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Fire Breath is a special attack found in the Super Smash Bros. series. It originated in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube. It is Bowser's Neutral Special, and is near identical to Charizard's Flamethrower. It also shares it's name with Piranha Plant's back aerial.

The move causes the great behemoth to exhale large bursts of fire. Eventually, the amount of fire being released from his mouth decreases, dwindling until it turns into a puff harmless smoke.

Customization[]

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, Bowser has these options for Fire Breath,

  • Fire Shot - Bowser fires a large fireball projectile that goes through enemies. It is more powerful than the other versions but, there is delay between each shot if held.
  • Fire Roar - A more powerful version that runs out quicker

Origin[]

In many Mario games, Bowser has the ability to shoot fire from his mouth, including Bowser's debut game, Super Mario Bros., in which he shoots fireballs at the player. Super Mario 64 was the first game, however, to show him spewing a continuous stream of fire from his mouth, like he does in the Super Smash Bros. series.
