Flash Man is a Robot Master created by Dr. Wily. He was first seen in Mega Man 2 as one of the games 8 Robot Masters. He hates wigs commercials, and sometimes uses his weapon, the Time Stopper, for fun. In the manga and archie comics he has a rivalry with Quick Man.

Strategy[]

Flash Man's room is not leveled & also very slippery. It is best to move by hopping. To defeat him, position yourself to a higher place to jump over him. Then when you pass over him, shoot him from behind until he runs back at your direction. Beware of his Time Stopper which he will use at intervals so you better plan ahead on finding a high place to jump & avoid his multi-diagonal buster shots.

Flash Man is weak against a lot of weapons. The most effective one is the Metal Blade, which you will get if you defeat Metal Man beforehand. Given that the Metal Blade can be fired in 8 directions & its wider than the Mega Buster, you can hit Flash Man easily. Another weapon is the Crash Bomber, which you can get from Crash Man. Plant the bombs where Flash Man will run into. Directly hitting him will not significantly damage him, but the explosion will damage him dealing strong, multiple hits.

In Dr. Wily Stage 4, you will encounter Flash Man again for a rematch. His room this time is leveled & not slippery, so you can jump over him easily. You can use the Metal Blade & Crash Bomber against him, but you will need them more when you confront the Wily Machine No. 2. It is recommended that you use your Mega Buster & save the other 2 weapons' energy for later.

Other media[]

  • Flash Man only appeared in Super Adventure Rockman. In this FMV game he and fifteen other Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 and 3 are revived by Ra Moon.
