Frappe Snowland as it appears in Mario Kart 64
|Series||Mario Kart series|
|First game||Mario Kart 64|
Frappe Snowland is a course both found in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Kart DS. It is one of the longest courses in the game, and is considered by some of the hardest. The track takes place in a snowy, blizzarding place, it is unknown exactly where. The road consists of regular cement, with a thin layer of snow over it, though this does not slicken the road at all. There are no patches of road that are difficult to drive in, like ice or mud. The main obstacles are snowmen, whom are scattered around the entire track, which are hard to avoid in some places. The road is bordered by thick snow, which slows down karts significantly if driven onto.
There are a few ice sculptures in this course. One being a sculpture of Yoshi which is out of bounds, near a sculpture a Mario, whom is also out of bounds. There is a giant ice sculpture of either Mario or Luigi in the middle of a wide spot in the road.
Mario Kart 64
Frappe Snowland is the course in MK64. It's very long (almost longer than Wario Stadium and Rainbow Road). It is considered to be one of the most difficult tracks in the game. The sky is dark, water-blue with lavender snow and thick, whitish-blue snow. Mario and Yoshi statues can be seen in the course. There are evil snowmen trying to knock you backwards, but they die and shrink in Lightning when you hit them or when Lightning strikes at them. The water is very dangerous and it can easily freeze you, so be careful when going into the river. There is also a group of snowmen guarding the statue. Also, there is a wooden brown bridge similar to the ones in Banshee Boardwalk and Delfino Square trying to protect you from falling into the raging river.
Mario Kart DS
Frappe Snowland reappeared as a second track of the Banana Cup in Mario Kart DS. There are no modifications but if you go to the large oval full of snowmen, Mario statue replaced Yoshi statue. Yoshi statue can no longer seen in the course even if you tried to change the engine class cc in Grand Prix mode.
