GT Advance Championship Racing (known as Advance GTA in Japan) is a racing video game released in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance.
The game features nearly 50 different real-world vehicles and 32 tracks on which to race. The terrain of each track varies between courses. There are different levels of play including three championship cups. There are upgrades available to each vehicle and an unlockable "kart mode" is also available. Two people can play head-to-head using the Game Boy Advance Link Cable and a "powerslide" technique can also be utilized during the races.
GT Advance was a Game Boy Advance launch title and was highly praised for it's graphics. While the Japanese version offered actual save slots, the North American and European versions required passwords. The password system was widely criticized.
