Gato is a robot battle trainer invented by Lucca in Chrono Trigger. He is the first enemy the player fights in the game just to get a taste of it. Losing to Gato will not result in a "game over". Gato also speaks in a robotic sing-song voice. Music notes appear in his rhyming dialogue boxes.
