Growlithe(JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a Fire Pokémon that made its first appearance in the first generation games Red and Blue.

Physiology and Behaviour

Growlithe is one of the most loyal Pokémon that you can find.Though it has a playfull personality when it feels comfortable with its surroundings Growlithe will protect it's trainer at all costs. A Growllithe is extremely cautious of any unfamiliar atmosphere and can become aggressive if threatened so beware not to get on Growlithe's bad side.

Aside from Growlithe's protective nature, Growlithe is also gentle and caring. It is a companion through and through and will sometimes even get mischievous and very playful. It is a bright Pokémon and is has a creative mind when it battles, thinking of the cleverest approach to its opponent. Growlithe tends to use caution, and thinks before diving into a battle. Growlithe is a great friend and a true Pokémon companion, and it's personality only strengthens when it evolves. Making it one of the more sought after and desired Pokémon in any of the games or the anime!
