The guards are men that protect the evil leader, Belzar, in Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers. Four of them are normally found guarding the castle gate that Belzar is seen entering during a cutscene when the main character, Del Cottonwood, is talking with his guide, Lakmir. The only way to get them away from the doors is to start a fire in the stable when the stable keeper is not around.


  • When Del convinces Saul to go good, Saul says that he will take care of the guards. It isn't clear what he means by this. He could be distracting them, or even killing them. If you leave the Chamber of Holding after entering via a cutscene, the guards throughout all of the town and Saul are gone.
